Warm Thoughts Program

Rockwood Gas (Utility) developed the Warm Thoughts Program to assist those natural gas customers of the Utility who, from time to time, need financial assistance to help keep them warm during the winter heating months. Warm Thoughts has been going strong for six (6) years helping hundreds of local families.

The Utility has teamed up with the Rockwood Ministerial Association (RMA) who will administer Warm Thoughts. If you are a natural gas customer of the Utility and need financial assistance, please check with RMA to see if you qualify for financial assistance. RMA is located at the corner of Strang St. and N. Front St. They will receive inquiries for Warm Thoughts and accept applications on Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Warm Thoughts benefits from Utility employee, customer, and other donations. The Utility adds $1.00 donation fee each month to our natural gas customers’ bill. These donations start each year in October and end the following month of March. If YOU elect not to participate in Warm Thoughts, simply request to have your name removed. Keep in mind, your donation to Warm Thoughts is tax deductible.

Remember, YOU may very well be helping a family member, a friend, or a neighbor not have to choose between food, medicine, or staying warm. With YOUR donation of only $1.00 per month, YOU will be making a great impact on the lives of the Citizens in our community who, from time to time, need a little assistance.
